I am a qualified counsellor and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the counselling profession.
I trained to be an integrative counsellor, as having a multiple modality approach allowed me to stay true to my beliefs that as humans, we are all unique and one size does not fit all and therefore this should be reflected by each client receiving a tailored approach to the therapy that they receive.
As my approach is based upon the needs of everyone, I integrate different psychological modalities in which I trained such as Person-Centred therapy, solution focus and CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) this allows me to tailor the therapy to meet your individual needs.
I enjoy learning new skills that expand my ability to bring new ways of working into my therapy sessions, I do this through attending different training courses and continue to enhance my professional skill set through continual professional development.
When I am not working, I am often found immersing myself in my latest craft project from papercutting to sewing and If I am not crafting, I can be found reading or listening to an audiobook which allows me to escape and enter a different time period using my imagination to learn about what life was like in a different era.
